5 Things We're Obsessed With: March Edition

In a world full of questionable things, we just wanted to talk about things we love, spread the good vibes a little bit. Plus, who doesn't love a list. Here's our first edition of the things we're obsessed with right now:

1. This playlist by Louise Chen on NTS

Louise Chen is pretty great no matter what, but this one is just full of bangers (including Short Dick Man by Gilette which... come ON). A close second on my obsession list is this Indie Sleaze mix of hers, which makes me feel very nostalgic indeed.

2. Substack, especially Reserved for the Creative Mind by Dominique Paris

We've been trying to do anything other than doomscroll, and Substack is the perfect solution. People are right when they say it's reminding them of the old Tumblr days, like it's 'grown up Tumblr'. I love it. I'm especially deep in art direction Substack, and Dominique Paris is one of my favourite, because it isn't always just pics - it's more so much more creative than that. Obsessed.

3. Skincare, always.

This one might be a little obvious, but hear us out. Things feel grim at times, and for us, we know smelling good and looking good somehow makes us feel a little less bad. Frivolous? Yeah, for sure. But you've got to find joy and silver linings where you can, and this is it for us. We're especially obsessed with new to the store Merge, who not only make beautiful product that always makes you feel like you're on holiday, but who packages said product in boxes you can reuse for love notes, bookmarks, all sorts. It's beautiful, thoughtful, and as a person who hates wasting things, it's practical.

4. Photography by Yoongeun Shin

I am obsessed with many still life photographers, and you can be sure I will include them all in a list at some point. Asking me to choose my favourite is like asking me to choose my favourite cat, so I won't do it. But I do have to choose one to feature first, so I'm introducing Yoongeun Shin, a Seoul-based photographer who's worked with the likes of Elle Japan, and our friends Sowvital. What is it about this moody, sculptural, textural photography that just gets me? I could look at it all day long, Yoongeun's work is just so beautiful, and every image really evokes a sense of richness. Beautiful, beautiful work.

5. Dough Hands Pizza at The Old Nun's Head

I'm going to be frank with you - we love pizza. We love to eat a lot of pizza, and considering we have Made of Dough, Voodoo Ray's, D4100 and Mamma Dough all within walking distance, we struggle not to eat it for every meal. So, when Dough Hands popped up on our Instagram, we naturally had to try it. Friends, we don't make this claim lightly - we think this is the best pizza we've had in London. It's crispy, it's light, it's the perfect level of salty, and there's parmesan everywhere. Times are tough right now, but truly, this pizza makes everything better, even if only for a little while.
